Another day in the wilderness.
I woke up today at 3:30am. Then again around 4:15am when my alarm sounded. I stayed in bed for a bit to think about what I can do while there’s no internet.
I eventually made my way out and this is what I’m dealing with right now. It’s so dark outside, just me and the sounds of nature. LOL.
Now that I think about it, I should be glad to still be able to wake up.

I was in a middle of a big earthquake… on a deck/balcony on the side of a mountain where we could have easily fallen or got blasted by the glass surrounding us.
In any case, while we were waiting for aftershocks to go by one after the other, we weren’t allowed to go anywhere near any of the buildings, so I tried to stay productive and got a couple meetings set up. Weird day.
I realised a couple things yesterday:
- You can often get lost in your work trying to accomplish one thing after another but you should never lose sight of who are the most important to you. Your work will never be more important than them. That earthquake clearly showed me that.
- If you feel like taking a nap after waking up early and finishing important things, then take a freaking nap. You’ll be glad that you did.
I’ll be out of coverage area for the next 10 hours at least, so I hope I can accomplish some things before we get to the beach.
Pomodoro timer starts now.
